Your 2010-2011 Chicago Blackhawks.

Jonathan Toews was nominated for the Selke Trophy. This announcement comes hours after the Hawk’s 2010-2011 season came to an end. It reminds me of what was lost and gained this challenging year, of the ups and downs, the dominating moments and then those games when the Hawks seemed uninterested in winning. Through it all,... How About an Applause for Your Chicago Blackhawks! Remember that all good things must come to an end.

How About an Applause for Your Chicago Blackhawks! Remember that all good things must come to an end.
Keep that applause going for Corey Crawford (amazing game), keep it going for Johnny Toews, and keep it going for the fans too. Things might not have ended how we wanted, but that was a great run at history. Vancouver can sleep easier now that they have eliminated the Blackhawks in OT of game 7... Read more »

If Hawks win, party at Robson and Thurlow? Hawks-Canucks game six recap.

Well, like my tortured analogy yesterday, this team is not dying easy. Three times Vancouver took the lead, three times the Hawks tied it and then came back to win in overtime. Could this have been scripted any more bizarre if someone tried? I don’t know. But, let’s hit it.  For perhaps the first time... Read more »

Still Shakin It Boss. The Canucks and Blackhawks come back to Chicago.

Dragline to Luke; “Stay down, You’re beat”  Luke to Dragline as he struggles to get up: “You’re gonna hafta kill me” Well, after a season of “fail-ure to commun-cate”, amongst other problems, our team has continued to show quite a bit of a Cool Hand Luke attitude as they sit on the brink of elimination.... A Canuck Fan's Nightmare, the Blackhawks are back!

From where I see it, this is the Hawk’s series. The Canucks have dominated for 1 period, and controlled about 2 more periods, while the Hawks have dominated for 6 periods (not all coming from the last 2 games), and have controlled another 3 to 4 periods out of 15 total. The remaining periods fall... Read more »

Luongo gets chased out of his net 2 games in a row as the Blackhawks cruise to a 5 - 0 win.

It does not get much better than this. A 3-0 series gets turned into a 3-2 series seemingly overnight and our home team has stolen momentum on the way back home to live another day. Screw living, this team is now thriving. Crawford was brilliant, actually perfect, Hossa scored Twice (finally learning to lift the... Read more »

KAAABBOOOOMMM!!!! Blackhawks 7, Canucks 1 1/2 (they only get half a goal for that first one)

I could probably just post this pic and leave it at that. I mean really.  I deserve a slap in the face for questioning his addition to the roster for today’s game. This was like “Return of the Jedi,” or a “Rocky” movie or, well, you get the point. Did someone play a montage before... Read more »

One game at a time? Hawks try to avoid a Canuck's sweep.

I meant to post this earlier, and as a result it will be a bit shorter. Take it one game a time. If the Hawks look at tonight’s game as a fight to avoid the sweep they might be able to pull off a win, which would be great from my standpoint. So, win tonight,... Read more »

Getting the job done in Chicago proves problematic for the Hawks. Blackhawks trail 3-0 in Vancouver series.

Weathering the storm is a vulnerable tactic to take, and it is exactly what the Nucks did tonight. Vancouver held their ground during Chicago’s explosive 1st period. When the first intermission should have displayed a 2 goal lead in the Hawk’s favor in the least and a 3 goal lead being totally plausible, Vancouver only... Read more »

Is the Blackhawk's season Over. A 2-0 deficit to Vancouver proves daunting.

When Toews came flying out of the neutral zone and blew past both Vancouver defenders in the early part of this game, I jumped out my chair at the neighborhood bar and grill (that’s where I watch games when I don’t trust the internet). Now we’re talking, this is what I expected to see, but... Read more »
