Tonight's City of Chicago edition of Public Affairs features State Rep. Christian Mitchell (D- Bronzeville). The show airs throughout the city at 8:30 and midnight on Cable Ch. 21 (CANTV).
Rep. Mitchell debates and discusses with show host Jeff Berkowitz whether more needs to be done, and sooner rather than later, by the state legislature to stop shootings and killings on the South and West sides of Chicago and to improve the quality of education for kids of low income Hispanic and African-American Parents.
This is one of the better shows of the season. Rep. Mitchell is a thoughtful, informed state representative and his views on mandatory sentences for illegal gun sellers, stopping the shootings and killings in the lower income areas in Chicago and giving choices and a way out to kids in failing public schools are probed and challenged by the show host.
