In a show taped on Saturday,  Public Affairs show host Jeff Berkowitz debates and discusses with State Rep. Jim Durkin (R-Western Springs) the different state employee pension reform bills that passed out of the House (primary sponsors Cross, Nekritz and Biss) and Senate (primary backer-- Cullerton), respectively, and which of those bills might or should become law.

Durkin also discusses the 2014 race for Governor, gun control legislation, a concealed carry law, school choice-school vouchers and a possible run for State Attorney General if Lisa Madigan gives up the AG position to run against Gov. Pat Quinn in the Democratic Party Gubernatorial Primary.

The Public Affairs show featuring 13 year veteran state house legislator Durkin (One of seven brothers of recently minted federal judge Tom Durkin) will air throughout the City of Chicago next Monday night at 8:30 pm on Cable Ch. 21, in Rockford on Cable Ch. 17 a week from this Thursday night at 8:30 pm and in 34 North and Northwest Chicago Metro suburbs next week on either Comcast Ch. 19 or 35 on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at 8:30 pm (Check your local community access listings).
