Way better than tonight's All Star game: Sen. Dan Duffy, who could face Lisa Madigan for Gov., on cable/web

That's right.  Speaker Mike Madigan called entrepreneur and State Senator Dan Duffy (R-Lake Barrington) into his office four years ago and wanted to know how a South Side Irish guy from Beverly ended up in the Republican Party and in Lake Barrington.  A fish out of his element? An honest guy slumming with the rich and famous? Duffy gave Madigan an answer and you can find out what he said by watching Duffy go at it with Public Affairs show host Jeff Berkowitz tonight in 24 Chicago metro suburbs and tomorrow night in 10 additional suburbs, in Rockford on Thursday night and finally in Chicago on Monday night.

Or, you could watch Senator Duffy, on your demand, on your computer.

Of course, everybody thinks Speaker Madigan wants to see his daughter Lisa, the Illinois Attorney General, become Governor, perhaps in 2014.  Is Senator Duffy the guy who could beat Lisa to that office? in 2014? Does he close the door to that office in his Public Affairs appearance?  Could Senator Duffy and Senator Murphy run the same ticket?  Does Senator Duffy have all the answers to how state employee pension reform can be achieved? Substantive answers? political answers? Was Mayor Daley right? Does good policy make good politics?   Tune in to Public Affairs and find out.

This week's Chicago Suburban edition of Public Affairs, featuring State Senator Dan Duffy (R-Lake Barrington) debating and discussing with show host Jeff Berkowitz what real state employee pension reform would look like, why Illinois is unlikely to have pension reform prior to the November 6, 2012 election, school choice and school vouchers, whether we should pick on the teachers, why people become Republicans, the 2014 gubernatorial election  and much, much more, airs tonight in 24 North and Northwest Chicago suburbs at 8:30 pm on Cable Ch. 19 or Cable Ch. 35  (See, below, for a detailed airing schedule of the show).  Next Tuesday night's guest on Public Affairs, airing at the same time, on the same channels,  in these same 24 suburbs is Senator Michael Noland (D-Elgin).  And, the week after, it will be Rep. Senger.  More politics and public policy on Public Affairs than anywhere else on your dial, so to speak.
