Charles Thomas: Here is the problem for the Republican Party. They haven’t expanded their base. They are still basically a white, suburban party and they haven’t added people, so you have to wonder, where is the majority going to come from, if they haven’t expanded--

Berkowitz: The young—the young people who are unemployed. Actually, Hispanics might [jump to the Republican Party]. They might…say they didn’t get immigration reform…

Charles Thomas: They [the Republicans] have to expand their base.

Berkowitz: If Marco Rubio is the VP  nominee, do you think he could expand the Hispanic base?

Charles Thomas: Possibly. Possibly.

Berkowitz: He’s a person who has to be admired by the Hispanic community.

Charles Thomas: But, they have to expand their base…

Berkowitz: Can [the Republicans] crack into the African-American vote…Say, maybe get 20% instead of 11%?

Charles Thomas: Mitt Romney?

Berkowitz: Yes, in the Presidential race.

Charles Thomas: I don’t know, but he has to do something like that.

Berkowitz: If you were advising him-

Charles Thomas: Oh, absolutely, I’d tell Mitt Romney---
