Tonight's City of Chicago edition features Ty Fahner, President of the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago. The Civic Committee has been researching the issue of State employee and public school teacher pension reform, and Ty discusses and debates issues related to that research as well as education reform in tonight's show with host Jeff Berkowitz. Also discussed are the prospects for achieving pension and education reform, and what might be done to move those efforts along.
The show airs throughout the City of Chicago at 8:30 pm on Cable Ch. 21, the regular slot for Public Affairs for the last fifteen years. As we have been saying for a long time, if you can't answer the questions on "Public Affairs," on Monday night, you won't be ready to answer questions from the media the rest of the week. We think Ty is ready to answer questions this week and every week.
Ty Fahner came very close to moving up the political ladder to the Governor's spot a few years back. Is he getting ready to make a run for Governor in 2014. Should he be? He likes going fast in fast cars. Does he want to get in the fast track for governor? Are Ty and the groups Ty Fahner is affiliated with doing what needs to be done to back up those who support reform? Because if he has their back, they will have his. Remember, we discuss, but you decide.
