Will the 2012 Presidential election be a referendum on the Liberty v. Progressive paradigm? John Tillman , CEO of the Policy Institute, says yes.

Watch Berkowitz face-off with the Illinois Policy Institute’s CEO John Tillman on Cable/web to discuss the Liberty v. Progressive paradigm.  Tillman thinks this will be the defining issue of the 2012 Presidential general election.  Will the country move in a direction of empowering individuals to make important consumption and production choices, or will the country empower government, especially the federal government, to make those choices for individuals.

At least, that‘s how Tillman sees the 2012 Presidential election shaping up .  Of course, that leads to the all important state issue of education—how do we improve it, especially for students with low income parents. More money for education? Longer school days?  100,000 new charter school or school voucher students in the CPS during the next two years? What has Mayor Emanuel accomplished in this and other areas in his first 200 days in office?  What did Gov. Quinn’s 67% increase in income tax rates accomplish?  Can Romneycare be distinguished from Obamacare?  Did the problem of pre-existing health conditions require government intervention?  These and other issues are all debated, discussed and virtually resolved in the fastest politics and public policy half hour on Cable or the internet.
