So it's almost Valentine's Day and you've got less than a week to come up with some mind-blowing gifts?. Whether you're shopping for someone else or treating yourself to something special, the great thing about this time of year is that there are a ton of really great limited products, gift packages, etc... Living with Eliza has its advantages, and always being in the loop in regards to makeup, hair and beauty products is definitely one of them.
There are so many things I want right now, where do I even begin? I guess the obvious choice would be the new collaboration MAC did with DC Comics. They did an entire Wonder Woman collection that is the cutest thing I have ever seen. The colors are really fun, but still totally wearable and the packaging is amazing. Consider the super-sized palettes and Lipglass mine as soon as the collection is launched on February 10th. I'll finally have something to talk to Wendy Williams about...
Another great spot to pick up something for virtually anyone is Mojo Spa in Wicker Park. This place is on some new level cute. Soap shaped like cupcakes and slices of cake? I'll take one of everything please. They also have really great soy candles, makeup and skincare. This stuff is also really great, because everything is handmade and not only can you pronounce all of the ingredients, you actually know what they are. If you're unable to choose, gift certificates are available for products and services. Speaking of services, look into something called Beauty and Brunch (aka a day of pampering combined with a menu of my dream foods). Sticky toffee French toast with caramelized walnuts. Need I say more?
My last suggestion would be to do yourself a favor and head over to Benefit. This is good for single ladies or for your significant other. The services span from a simple eyebrow wax to a Brazilian to the best spray tan I've ever gotten. Every time I go there, I leave feeling like a million bucks. Most recently, I went in for a spray tan. The winter blues had me down and it was just what I needed. I didn't look orange and four days later, I still have a nice glow. Plus, I look skinnier with a little color and who is going to argue with that?
