Beauty hot spots! Mojo Spa with Twilight Detox and Reina Spa the new kid on the block.

FEEL FREE TO ASK BEAUTY QUESTIONS VIA COMMENTS ON THE BOTTOM OF THIS BLOG. I WILL SEE THEM AND IF I AM ON MY A GAME I WILL GET BACK TO YOU A.S.A.P.!!! FALL IS HERE, SO WHAT BETTER DO I HAVE GOING ON? HA!

My last blog was all about my fave products for this fall. This blog is going to be about all of my fave spots to hit this fall for beauty. The truth is that this beauty trek around the city might seem a little one sided, well that is because I am on foot! No car for this diva, I love never having a parking ticket and keeping healthy with exercise. Don't judge!  Just hit the streets.

The place that I am dying for is the Mojo Spa on Milwaukee Ave. I could go on and on about the products and the store itself. Stop by for a mani pedi and pick up well, one of everything. The vibe is great inside. Every single one of Mojo Spa's products smells and feels great. My fave as of right now is the Twilight Detox line. This stuff smells great from the perfume oil to the face and body scrub, these products are my new eternal love! None to fear if you do not live in Chicago, it is not that big of a deal because they ship products from their site. Please take a sec and explore the site and order something today. www.mojospa.com

The next spot that is new and delish is Reina Spa on North Ave. The vibe in this new heaven on North Ave. is great. Reina Spa may be the new kid on the block but this place is jumpin. Call or contact Reina Spa to find out what kind of specials they have today. Get your first facial or mani pedi for a steal. None to fear friends they offer OPI No-Chip manicure. Deals Deals Deals! Go to daily specials spot on their site and click on the link and save today! www.reinaspa.com

I am always urging people to dip into little boutiques and smaller spots to check out the goods. You can pick up a lot of fun beauty products this way that might give you the fun back in your beauty relationship. The worst thing that can happen in the beauty world is for a person to get stuck in a beauty rut. Try a new product or local spot today and you might just breathe a new life into your fall routine. Do something for yourself today that is guilt free!

  • Hi Eliza!

What do you think is the best way to prep your skin ready for a flawless makeup finish? Are primers worth it?

  • In reply to flickerstaffe:

Hey Lizzy! I think that the best way to prep the skin is to have clean we hydrated skin. I also think every woman needs an eye cream or eye gel under their makeup as well. Then we get to primers, yes I love, love love primers. They work and they come in all shapes and sizes deprending on what you like. My fave right now is the Porefessional from Benefit. The most popular is probably Smashbox primer. They help the makeup last all day. They also leave you with a smooth finish.

What do you think is the best way to keep bright red lips from feathering? Would you go with a primer underneath, even for the MAC Prowear?

  • In reply to Jsmith1012:

Hey there! Sad to say that a feathering lip is trial and error. I have found that a lip primer can be my best friend and worst nightmare. Stay away from putting a gloss on the top and keep it dry. The hard part then becomes the lips being to dry. Start with a liner of dry concelear and powder arouund the outside of the mouth and go from there. There is also the option of a dark lip stain and then a gloss. That will probably stay put for you and will give you a to die for cherry red or berry pout.

  • In reply to flickerstaffe:

Would you recommend a great stylist/salon for someone on a budget (I'd prefer to stay under/at $50)?

    Thanks!

  • In reply to rivernorth:

Hey there! Go see Kim, Michelle or Julz at Floyd's 99 Barbershop at Milwaukee and Wood in Wicker Park. Make sure that you tell them that you do not want them to dry and style it. If your hair is medium length you will spend under $30.00. Prepare to leave with wet hair but who cares you will have a great cut. Another way to save on color is to ask for a demi glaze at salons. This costs less and can actually be good for the hair. I hope that helps!

  • They all sound great-will check them out!
