Illinois State, which was off on its bye week, holds down the No. 18 slot in the poll. Head coach Brock Spack's Redbirds (1-0) play at Eastern Illinois (1-1) Saturday in the annual Mid-America Classic rivalry game.

ISU and WIU are among the seven Missouri Valley Football Conference teams ranked in the Top 25. The Ohio Valley Conference--which Eastern Illinois is a member of--has two teams ranked in the poll.
