Strikeforce Had A Lot of MMA Announcements

I didn't post some things happening this week because I had given you a series on 5 of the best MMA exercises in hope that some of you could use a change up in your routine by adding new exercises.  SInce the TUF show finale is over now, I thought I would give you an update on the next fight coming and several of Strikeforce's announcements.

Some hype is building over the Cung Le (6-0) and Scott Smith (17-6) fighting next weekend.  This Strikeforce event will happen in San Jose, CA. Another fight worth watching is Josh Thomson (16-2) against Gilbert Melendez (16-2) and Matt Lindland (21-6) vs. Ronaldo Souza (10-2).   Le brings an enormous home-town fan base and is always a favorite because of his clean, dynamic, sanshou style.  A lover of the style myself, Le has had a dazzling fight career.  But still many doubt if he can stick to a true MMA type of fighting style instead of all the parlor tricks he has gotten away with in American Kickboxing and Sanshou bouts.  Smith has actually met several solid fighters in the cage.  These meetings left him on the lossing end, but hopefully it has helped build his skill set; losses were to Nick Diaz, Robbie Lawler, Patrick Cote and James Irvin

Strikeforce has made a deal to air MMA live across Canada.   Super Channel, Canada's only national pay television network, announced this week an exclusive agreement to offer SHOWTIME Sports of Strikeforce MMA events live to its viewers beginning on December 19 in time for teh Cung Le vs Scott Smith fight.  It will be a live HD telecast.
Strikeforce adds K.J. Noons to its stable.  Noons signed with Strikeforce this week.  Noons is most remembered for his fight against Nick Diaz, a Gracie Black Belt, where he beat him oin the first round by opening up a cut below Diaz's right eyebrow with a knee strike in response to a takedown and finishing him with a career highlight reel straight right hand.

  • Very nice post - the truth is that Strikeforce is improving more and more - and I would really like to see the exchange of Strikeforce - UFC fighters - mainly Fedor Emelianenko - here are ALL his fights:
