About Carrie Goldman

Carrie Goldman, who writes Portrait of an Adoption, is the author of the multiple award-winning book Bullied: What Every Parent, Teacher, and Kid Needs to Know About Ending the Cycle of Fear (Harper Collins, 2012).

Carrie is a regular blogger for The Huffington Post, ChicagoNow, Psychology Today, and Adoption.net, and her parenting expertise has been featured by NPR, CNN Headline News, MSNBC, Fox News, WGN TV and WGN Radio, ABC Radio, and many other international news sites.

Carrie is a co-founder of the Pop Culture Anti-Bullying Coalition, and she also runs Team Bullied.  In addition to raising awareness about adoption issues, she travels around the country speaking to corporations, schools, and communities about bullying prevention, and she runs workshops for people of all ages on how to deal with bullying, cyberbullying, and social conflict.

Carrie received her B.S. from Northwestern University and her M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management.  She lives in Illinois with her husband and three young daughters.
