Surprise! I guess you can't believe everything you read these days. Negotiations between American Idol and pop-star Jennifer Lopez are back on track.
Weeks ago, numerous reports surfaced of Lopez's diva demands and behavior that ultimately ended the possibility of her becoming a permanent judge on the show. Producers were very keen on securing Lopez hoping her star power would give the reality show new life after the sudden departure of judge Simon Cowell and self-dismissal of Ellen Degeneres.
But now, new reports are stating that Lopez is back and a deal could be signed as early as next week.
TMZ reported Thursday that the 41-year-old singer/actress was all but signed in as the third and final judge for the upcoming season. Sources tell the celebrity gossip website that the finalization of the deal should go down sometime next week.
TMZ's sources noted that, unless there is some last minute negotiating snag, one that ies not likely, Jennifer Lopez will be announced as the third American Idol judge.
At this point I'm skipping Idol and just waiting on the American version of X-factor.......
