Rainy Day Grumbling

TODAY: DRY AND MILD, the forecast said at the bottom of the TV. Except maybe it was TOMORROW's weather -- after all, I wasn't wearing my glasses.

I opened the door to the garage, ready to run.  But what did I see?

RAIN.

RAIN.

Did I mention RAIN?

And so I mumbled, and grumbled and growled.

But as a good commuter does, I plowed through, along with the rest of ‘em.

Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining

Farmers' Market carries on.   The peonies are pretty in pink.  And the pickles are tempting too.

The Picasso doesn't seem to mind a wet day.   Nor do the striking flowers.

Lunch will still be served - al fresco!

What is it about a city street on a rainy day?   Somehow everything stands out better.

Old Glory loves a brisk wind.   As usual, our state flag is trying to keep up.

And so there it is.  Another rainy day, but TA DA... I found some good out of it.


Like the good Queen said, Keep Calm and Carry On.

Because it seems as though that’s what everyone is doing.
