Zoomer is a very sweet, playful, calm and loving, eight-month-old, 34-pound, male reddish tan Shepherd-mix with warm brown eyes looking for a loving guardian.
Zoomer was adopted from a North Carolina shelter five weeks ago. His family has a five-year-old child and while Zoomer isn’t aggressive, he played with the little girl like she was a puppy and that doesn’t go over too well.
Zoomer is one of the most dog and cat-friendly dogs I have ever seen. It’s rare that I would say he loves all dogs! He’s great on leash, loves a yard, but is hard to catch as he plays “keep away.” So, he does need so training, but his temperament could not be better.
He’s not crazy about being crated, but he does chew at times … paperwork and blue tootth ear phones appear to be his favorites.
When you’re home, he’s happy to hang out quietly on the couch or in a dog bed. At night, he’ll sleep in a dog bed and pop up to join you in bed in the morning.
Zoomer is very healthy, up-to-date on vaccines, de-wormed, micro-chipped and on monthly heartworm preventative. He is scheduled to be neutered on Thursday August 15th.
If you are interested in meeting and possibly fostering or adopting Zoomer, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for an adoption application. His adoption fee of $375 benefits Friends of Petraits Rescue. He comes with everything you need to care for him: food, bowls, harness, leash, collar.
He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
