Charleston is a very sweet and active nine-month-old male Abyssinian guinea pig looking for loving guardian.
This boy lived with his guinea pig mom and family until they realized he was a boy. He found a home, but the teenagers in the home refused to take care of him, so he was turned into Friends of Petraits Rescue.
Charleston is fun, talkative, fast-moving and sweet. He makes adorable squeals, chirps, squeaks and purring noises-especially when he hears his food coming.
He enjoys having his cage next to other guinea pigs so he can talk to them through the bars, but he hasn’t bonded with another pig since he left his momma’s side seven months ago.
I think even if he lives as the only pig in his cage, he’ll be happier right next to another guinea pig cage so he can communicate with them.
Guinea pigs eat a diet of unlimited Timothy hay, limited pellets, and fresh vegetables including romaine, red leaf and green leaf lettuces, cilantro, etc.
Please read up on guinea pig care and diet before adopting by visiting this excellent web site http://www.guinealynx.info/.
He would love a home with people who will handle him daily, keep him well fed, and keep his habitat nice and clean.

He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
His adoption fee of $30 benefits the friends of Petraits Rescue. For an additional $40, we’ll include a starter kit of everything you need to care for him including food, cage, hay, litter, hidey hut and water bottle.
