Benson — Petraits Rescue

Benson — Petraits Rescue

Benson is a sensitive, shy, gentle, playful, sweet and loving, 18-month-old, 29-pound, male Lab/Border Collie-mix with warm brown eyes looking for a loving guardian.

Benson is a little shy at first with new people but warms up very quickly. He is a happy, snugly, playful guy when he’s feeling secure. He loves to run in the yard and play with other dogs. He’s also great with cats.

In the home, he’s well-behaved, housebroken and is quietly crate-trained.

He is extremely healthy, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for rabies, distemper and bordetella, heartworm and fecal tested negative, and on monthly heartworm and flea preventative.

Benson is great in the car, and easy to bathe. He’s good on leash, but best when walking with other dogs since he is shy. He’s nervous with city noises, traffic and strangers.
Benson will be wonderful in a home with a fenced in yard and another dog to play with. He loves going for walks in forest preserves and quiet areas.
If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Benson, please contact  for an adoption application. His adoption fee of $300 benefits Friends of Petraits Rescue. He comes with everything you need to care for him: crate, food, bowls, harness, leash, collar.
He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
