Florida a Dead Heat as Presidential Election Enters Home Stretch

Florida a Dead Heat as Presidential Election Enters Home Stretch
Florida is a colorful state, unlike any other in America. It's been called many things in recent years, often in a manner that makes it a punchline. Laugh all you want at "Florida man...." and his exploits, but once again it's one of the most critical states in this November's Presidential election. The Sunshine State decided the 2000 election, and it has been in very influential in every election since. The extremely unique economic and cultural make up of the population lends itself to being the ultimate "purple state" with red counties, blue counties and magenta counties. As a whole "magenta" is the best way to describe it. ...

Al Gore: Trump 'attempting to put his knee on the neck of democracy'
Former Vice President Al Gore did a virtual newsmakers event, via Reuters, yesterday and the upcoming Presidential election was one of the many topics that were covered. Fielding a multitude of questions from the media, during a one hour session, Al Gore stated his beliefs that Donald Trump might not accept the results of the election in November, should they not go in his favor. Gore added that Trump is planting the seeds of doubt right now, and that he has no problem ripping us apart as a country in doing so, specifically remarking that Trump is "attempting to put his knee on the neck of democracy."...

Gretchen Whitmer Emerges as Darkhorse Democratic VP Candidate

Gretchen Whitmer Emerges as Darkhorse Democratic VP Candidate
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is everywhere right now, conveying just how much of a rising star she currently is in the Democratic Party. On Wednesday she appeared on The Daily Show, wearing a shirt emblazoned with "That Woman From Michigan," an obvious clapback at President Trump for his egregiously unprofessional and overtly condescending remark about her last week. On Saturday, she teamed up with the Detroit Lions, Pistons, Red Wings, and Tigers to release a call to action video encouraging nurses and doctors to bring their skills to Michigan as a way to volunteer and help bolster the number of health care professionals fighting on the front lines against the COVID-19 pandemic. Her public profile has risen so high that she's now in the mix to be the Democratic Vice Presidential candidate. Whitmer now has the third best odds of assuming the position, behind only the favorite Kamala Harris and Amy Klobuchar. ...

Presidential Election Forecast Changed Drastically Over the Past Month

Presidential Election Forecast Changed Drastically Over the Past Month
What a long, strange trip it's been for the Democratic Party and their race to retake the White House. The race began with an extremely crowded field, and Joe Biden emerged as the very early favorite. Then he faded, way back to the middle of the pack. Different candidates, including Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, took their turns as the favorite/presumptive nominee.

Biden came back strong from irrelevancy, to the point now that his clinching a primary win is a matter of when, not if.  Regarding the general election, the odds were heavily in favor of Trump as recently as late February. It's a totally different race today, with Biden and Trump almost tied in what has been a disastrous few days for the President.

Joe Biden or Elizabeth Warren: Better Chance of Winning the Nomination?

Joe Biden or Elizabeth Warren: Better Chance of Winning the Nomination?

We're still more than a year away from the 2020 Presidential election, but we've already defined what will move the single issue voters on the left time around- winning.

In the words of Sir Winston Churchill: "victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be" over incumbent President Donald Trump. So how does the Democratic party get there? Well, first and foremost (and this goes for all parties and political persuasions by the way), they must shed any belief in the term "electability." 2016 showed us just how meaningless that term is nowadays.
