The Daily Show with Trevor Noah Arrives in Chicago Next Week

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah is coming to Chicago next week! Yes, TDS will originate from the Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport Ave., from Monday, Oct. 16 through Thursday, Oct. 19, taping at 5 pm central everyday.

Unfortunately, no tickets remain however.

The tickets, which the show gives away for free, are accessed online first-come, first-serve, and have long been  "sold out" since the Chicago week of programming was announced back in July. The Daily Show, on the air since 1996 with over 3,000 episodes in total, is off this week.

2015 saw The Daily Show undergo a hosting transition as Jon Stewart, who held down the post since 1999, decided to walk away, and was replaced by Trevor Noah. Six different shows hosted by five different Daily Show "correspondents" spawned from its success:

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee,

The Colbert Report, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, The Opposition with Jordan Klepper

While getting in The Daily Show studio audience will be a tough ticket, access to their Donald J. Trump Twitter Presidential Library will be quite easy.

The satirical library, which lampoons Presidential libraries and pokes fun at the president’s distaste for reading, will occupy the Burlington Room in Union Station and be free of charge. The collection of Trump's most memorable and egregious Twitter postings can be accessed through the Great Hall. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Friday, Oct. 20 through Sunday, Oct. 22.

The Patriotic Dissenter will be at The Daily Show next week! So watch this space for interviews, recaps, jokes, quotes and much much more.
