Clearing out the Holiday Cobwebs

It's time to tackle the holidays.  Now that Thanksgiving is over, I can focus on Christmas.   Amid the hustle and bustle of holiday parties, shopping and snow shoveling, it is always good to take some time and have fun!  During the month of December,  everyone needs to commit to a fun activity at least once a week.

It's so important to refresh your holiday spirit with fun activities!

So, how about a few early Christmas gifts???
Nothing says fun like a kick ass concert. Yes, these gifts can be for you!
 Ingrid Michaelson is one of
my favorite musicians and she is even more amazing live!  This Friday, 101.9/The
Mix
presents "Miracle on State Street" with Ingrid Michaelson and some
band called Maroon 5...  If you cannot catch her this Friday, you must check her out!

The Chicago Botanic Garden offers fun programs for families in December
like a Weekend Family Class.  Interactive weekday classes for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds called "Little Diggers" encourages your little explorer to learn more about nature!  Youth,
Teacher and Wellness programs are also available
Any train lovers in
your family?  The Wonderland Express is now open!

Make it a date.  Turn your dread for holiday shopping into a fun excursion/date with your
significant other
.  Try an early dinner at Fiora's in
Geneva (just west of Chicago).  Downtown Geneva's unique Third Street shops and boutiques will help you chip away at your gift list.  When
you tire of shopping, indulge in a glass of "Eric the Red" at Galena Cellars Wine Tasting Room and wind
down for the evening.

What do you do to make your holiday memorable?
