The recipe worked. My rice fan loved the rice, the chicken was good, and the cook was relaxed. Was it the “yummiest” chicken dish I’ve ever tasted? Definitely not. But it’s flavorful, doable, and the kind of dish most people will like. Those are big plusses. Add a salad, a veggie (green beans, asparagus, broccoli), and some crusty bread, and the main course is complete. We paired the dish with an unoaked Chardonnay as suggested and really liked the match.
