The Chicago Marathon announced Thursday that the registration for the 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon will be pushed to March 2014. Normally registration is in February.
The actual date of the 2014 race will be Sunday, October 12. More details about registration and how it will play out will be released in January through their Facebook page and web site.
If you remember earlier this year, registration came to a stand still when the system shut down due to the massive amount of traffic with people trying to register. Organizers had to turn to a lottery system to manage the remaining spots.
No word yet on how this will effect the charities and their fundraising goals, with the window of fundraising shortened by a month.
