LATE RIDE Gets Rolling This Weekend.

Don't miss the LATE RIDE

The best thing about my 540 mile journey last year, was discovering the many different types of events that are available to athletes in our area.  From triathlon to kayak racing, there is literally something for everybody.

One of the best times I had was participating in The LATE RIDE, a ride through the streets of Chicago that starts at midnight and goes all night long.

The LATE RIDE helps support friends of the park and is an amazing adventure through the city that gives you a look at the city that is unparalleled.

It's an all ages event that takes you on a tour of the cities different neighborhoods, the police keep things safe, the volunteers are great and the look on the drunks face as you pass them, priceless.

The LATE RIDE begins at Buckingham Fountain, route highlights will include the South Loop, Chinatown, Greek Town, Chicago’s historic "Emerald Necklace" and much more. A large park on the north side will host the rest stop- plenty of open green space for food and fun! You’ll finish your trek along the glorious lakefront trail, which offers stunning skyline views.

This is not a race, but a traveling party, celebrating cycling, helping a charity and enjoying our great city.

9000 cyclists of all ages and skill level making their way through the 25 mile course, is a site worth seeing.

You can still register the night of the event, click here for more information.  Don't miss out on The LATE RIDE.
