Saturday Night, June 11th, the World Naked Bike Ride took over the streets of Chicago, sharing their message about positive body image and freeing our independence from oil.
Despite cold weather, hundreds of naked, body painted and costumed riders rode to show their support for this special event.
In Ottawa, Canada, the event was put to a halt by authorities. Sgt. Paul Batista gave one reason for his decision to turn the World Naked Bike Ride into the More or Less Naked Bike Ride.
"Because it's against the law to be totally naked in public," he said. "I'm sure they didn't like my decision, but nonetheless they complied."
Here in Chicago things went off without a hitch, and there is even a "thank you note," to Mayor Emanuel on the WNBR web site for being so helpful.
