For those of you heading up to St. Joe, Michigan with me to race tomorrow, you can drop off your bikes today, starting at 3:00PM. The Ironman store and expo will be open today from noon until 8:00PM. There is no race day packet pick up. Click here for all the information you need to get you ready to race on Saturday.
The Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon Expo. is open and ready for you to check out all of the pre- race excitement.
Friday- 6-6:30 PM-Josh Cox, the American record holder in the 50k (31 miles) and four time Olympic Trials Qualifier will will also offer "insider training tips" and sign autographs at the Health & Fitness Expo and the Finish Line Festival.
Saturday- You can catch Josh again from 1-3:30 at different parts of the expo.
Kara Goucher, winner of the 2009 Rock 'n' Roll Half will be on hand at 11:00 AM at the Expo Stage, offering insider tips on training, nutrition, and how she beat the entire field at last year's race, setting a course record of 1:08:05.
Make sure to visit the Brooks' Cavalcade of Curiosities, a running-inspired carnival experience whit giveaways, prizes, runners' fortune-telling machines, and carnival games such as "Pronator's Peak" and "Dash for Gold." Not to mention a professional stage show starring an authentic carnival ringmaster, human Jesus Lizard, and a vat of non-Newtonian liquid demonstrating Brooks' new DNA cushioning technology.
Finally, after the cheerleaders have cheered and the music has ended, make sure to head over to Fleet Feet Sports from 10AM to 7PM with your finisher medal and they will engrave it for free!
