SRAM is a local components company that most of the top teams in The Tour de France turn to for the best components on their bikes. Because they connected with these teams they are able to get VIP access to just about everything.Today, the team from SRAM gives us a behind the scenes look at what the Radio Shack mechanics go through to make sure their bikes are race ready, every day.
Monday was an undoubtedly a welcomed rest day for every rider following several brutal stages, countless crashes, and Sunday's GC defining final climbs. While riders get an easy day on the bike, and time to relax and catch up on email and socializing, the team mechanics dedicate the entire day to going over every bike and making certain everything is functioning perfectly.
SRAM's tech team of Alex and Jason stopped in to visit some of SRAM's (seven) teams and make sure they have everything they need, and assist when required, here are some behind the scenes photos of their visit to Team Radio Shack.
