Bike to Work Week Rolling Along.

biketowork.jpg

Thankfully nobody confused The World Naked Bike Ride with Bike to Work
Week, which kicked off Monday and lasts all week.

This is
your chance to get out on your bike as well as join a week long party
sponsored by several locations around the city and The Active Transportation Alliance.

Bike Commuter
Stations along popular bike routes in Chicago and at suburban Metra
stations give bike commuters a much-deserved pat on the back with free
coffee and goodies.  The full schedule of Bike Commuter Stations
is listed below and can be found by clicking here.

Bike After Work parties at area cafes
and restaurants are perfect spots to end the workday.  See below
for details on the Bike After Work parties.

Nearly 500
Chicagoland companies will go helmet-to-helmet to see who can get the
highest percentage of employees to bike to work this week. This
year's competition has more teams than ever and include the likes of
Google, United, Office of Sen. Dick Durbin, CTA and WTTW.  See a
list of all the companies online by clicking here.

So leave the car at home, grab your
helmet and hop on your bike, it's good for you, for the environment
and there will be plenty of people joining you this week.  Who
knows, it might catch on?

  • Rode to work just this morning; thank goodness the rains let up! Got any good stories from Bike MS on Saturday? I found shelter in a Goodwill store, other team memebers in a garage, and others in a barn. What a crazy storm?!
