This has nothing at all to do with endurance sports. However if you win the Dunkin Donuts Create Dunkins Next Donut contest you could win 12 thousand dollars, which in turn cold buy you a new bike, a lot of race entries and your favorite blogger a Zipp disc.
Click here to go to the contest web site. Once there, you get to pick the size, dough, filling and topping of your own donut. If enough people vote for your creation, you win 12K!
You can only enter one donut and all entries need to be in by March 8th, 2010. A dozen finalists will be announced and voting for the ultimate donut takes place April 19th- May 3rd.
The winner will be announced on National Donut Day, yes there is a National Donut Day, June 4th. Yet no National Dave Day? I guess this is as close as you can get.
Last years winner Jeff Hager created the Toffee for your Coffee. A ring shaped donut, sour cream dough, glaze frosting and a chopped Heath Bar topping.
I created the Recovery Donut, something my friends at Cliff sorely neglected. Stick shape, chocolate cake dough, maple kreme filling, peanut butter icing with pink and orange sprinkles. After a long run, ride or workout, nothing packs on the nutrients you need better that The Recovery Donut! Click here to see The Recovery Donut.
