Nike's 2009 Bank of America Chicago Marathon merchandise celebrates the race's unique spirit and storied course that winds its way through the city's neighborhoods and past iconic landmarks.
Nike's footwear and apparel collection features call-outs to the Chicago flag, the Bean, Wills Tower and the skyline in addition to special details like a mosaic of all things Chicago: its phrases, el stops, key dates, nicknames, sports legends and more.
Also included is official Bank of America Chicago Marathon Finisher product that will be available beginning race day to those looking to commemorate the personal accomplishment of completing the race.
They look good and are functional. Included in the collection are functional, innovative elements like Nike's DRI FIT technology to wick away sweat from the body, reflective piping to increase visibility, self-binding fabric and ergonomic side seams to reduce chafing, cord loops for music management, interior pockets for media players and more.
Also available is a Chicago version of the Nike LunarGlide+, Nike's newest running shoe with an innovative mid-sole architecture called Dynamic Support, a patent-pending system that adapts to a runner's gait with each step, providing superior cushioning and as-needed stability.
