The Ed Rudolph Velodrome in Northbrook opened celebrating 50 years of track racing.
The Rudolph Velodrome is the only velodrome in Illinois and only one of three in the Midwest (Kenosha and Indianapolis).
There are classes, races and other events going on at the velodrome all Summer long. If you have never checked out track racing, it's worth it, if you want to try your luck at 30mph with no brakes, there are classes, either way, it's a cool way to spend a Summer night.
We showed up for Turin Racing Night and had a great time.
Women, men, young, old, fast, slow, everyone is welcome.
