Sunday Clinic with Olympian Barb Lindquist

One of the coolest things about the world of endurance sports is the accessibility of pros and top minds in the field.

An example:  Sunday afternoon at Fleet Feet Sports in Piper's Alley, Max Multisport is sponsoring a clinic with 2004 Olympic Triathlete Barb Lindquist. 

The cost is $60; however, if you compare that to Michael Jordan's Fantasy Camp for $17,500,  it's an amazing opportunity to learn from one of the best and odds are Barb won't dunk on you (though she may lap you).

This is a unique three hour opportunity to spend time with one of the sport's greats in the classroom as well as out on the track to train with Barb!

Here is some of the information that Max President Renee Schneidewind was kind enough to share:

PART #1- LEARN IT. Classroom explanation of how to use gravity to give you free speed through proper technique in arms, body position, foot placement, and cadence.

PART #2- SEE IT. Videotaping of run form to see your current technique.

PART#3- CHANGE IT. Use a drill progression to emphasize correct form and to strengthen small stabilizing muscle groups.

PART #4- TRAIN IT. Demonstrating how to use drills, strides, bounds, etc. within workouts to make you a more efficient, powerful runner.

PART #5- STRENGTHEN IT. Learn exercises you can do at home to not only make you faster, but also help in injury prevention.

Clinic Fee:  $50 for Max Multisport Athletes, $60 for General Public (open to men and women).

If you time things right, you can have the ultimate slow twitch morning.  5:30 AM, Bike The Drive, hit a 30 mile loop, grab a Vente Blah, Blah at the Starbucks in Piper's Alley and head over to workout with Barb.
