Okay, I am making a pretty big confession here. Two years ago at my brothers wedding, we figured out the maid service came twice a day so we stashed the extra soap in our suitcases. After the weekend of joy, I came away with a nice stash of L'Occcitane products. I was one happy chick. Unless most people, I came home and put them to good use.
I know I am not alone in being a sample swiper. We all do it whether we want to admit it or not. Some people, like my Aunt, put them in a basket for guests. Others, put them in bins or boxes and keep them. I cant tell you how many times I have sorted someones samples.
Like any other chemical items..samples go bad. Lotion gets runny, shampoo and conditioner changes color. Bars of soap are your best bet for lasting for a few years. When asked why people saved their samples, the answers included:
1. It saves me money(if you use them)
2. I paid for them with the room
3. I can use these when I travel(you will get more)
So in closing, take what you will use. If you dont find yourself using them, give them to a friend or even donate them. Your local food pantry or senior center would be happy to have them. If you choose to keep your stash, separate your goodies by category. This will let you see what you have.
