I had accepted it. I truly had. I sat on my couch for about an hour, speechless and heartbroken and confused about what I had just witnessed. The Hawks weren't expected to repeat this year, I know, but MISS THE PLAYOFFS?
And then the Minnesota Wild happened.
And here we are, prepping for more fun playoff hockey. The Hawks may be the 8-seed facing the President's Cup winner, but I'm just happy our favorite team gets to once again participate in the BEST postseason in sports. And that might technically be an opinion, but watch them all and tell me it isn't a fact.
