While the fancy cocktails with clever names are drawing people in, I paid Machine a visit for their outstanding draught menu. Also, I wanted to see the astonishing decor with my own two eyes (think flowers, lots of them). Machine is a one-of-a-kind experience, and my photo teaser will give you an idea of how majestic this destination is.
Upon arrival, I was feeling a tad underdressed and hesitant upon entering. These thoughts dissipated quickly after being warmly greeted by the host. She even cleared off the host station and stepped away so I could photograph the area.
After taking in this Instagram-worthy space (even the bathroom is beautiful), I took a seat at one of the bars. I was in the mood for dessert, so I started with a Neutellazilla, an Imperial/Double Milk Stout by Marz Community Brewing. Neutellazilla is a thick, sweet stout with hints of coffee, vanilla, and hazelnut. Nom nom.
The choices were so good it was a challenging task to decide on my second beer. Ultimately, I ordered a Saison de Lis (Belgian Saison) by Perennial Artisan Ales. This spicy, fruity beer is brewed with chamomile flowers and hit the spot on a warm day.
If you want to thoroughly impress your date, this is the place. What other venue has an in-house flower shop full of gorgeous flowers to woo that special someone? For those who wish to continue the evening "at home," Machine offers an exquisite weekly bottle and bouquet package to-go.
I’m eager to return to sample the food, as there are many enticing vegetarian items available. Have you been to Machine? If so, please share some of your favorite dishes.
