"I took my 8 year old son to the B96 Jingle Bash in Chicago" - (PART 1 of 5)

Howdy. If you've been with me for the past few weeks, you know that on Mondays I've been posting seven days of little photo essays that I shot and wrote. But last night something happened that deserved its own week: I took my eight year old son to the B96 Jingle Bash

PART 1: The surprise

“An early Christmas surprise” - Last night was pretty damn epic. I surprised my son with his first concert: the B96 Jingle Bash, featuring some of his favorite acts - Sean Mendes (his very favorite..next to Beiber of course), Alessia Cara, The Chainsmokers, and One Republic. (Britney Spears was there, but he didn’t know who she was. We’ll get to her, later)

I have a few observations about the experience - too much to write in just one day. So I'm going to try something a little different this week: I'm going to tell my story in five days of quick, short posts.

First up: Our seats smelled like a mixture of cheap lotion - like the kind you find in a last minute gift set by the CVS cashier - and poop. And then the guy next to me brought buttered popcorn into the mix.

Tomorrow: Mixed messages for a young boy's mind

That's my piece, and that's my peace. Thank you so much for taking the time to red my silly words. It truly means the world. Carry on...
