The past couple of days, Chicago has been (as my dad would have said), "Hotter than the hinges of hell". And when it is this hot, I am not fun to be around unless I bump some songs about hot weather and drink something blended with tequila, (which helps). I have been walking around the past two days in my bathing suit, using creative profanity describing this Chicago heatwave, and I am certain that I am not the only one.
There are many people all over Chicago and especially the East Coast suffering crankiness due to heat, the uncomfortably of sweating profusely in weird places and the trials and tribulations of using window units and fans that are far from pumping "frigid air" when it is this hot out.
I should also randomly mention here that it's so hot, that my cat, Lola, just let me pet her with an ice pack.
Via the internet, there are a variety of things you can do to deal with the heat. You can eat ice cream, you can hustle a little free AC by going to the mall or a coffee shop, you can hit up a Chicago Park District pool, bust a fire hydrant, or you can just embrace it and and bump these songs...
