John Sviokla and Sherra Lasley of Jablonski will be opening Friday night at 8

Starting tonight and running through January 17th, 100 groups will perform in 125 shows at the Theatre Building Chicago. A complete schedule of events can be seen here, but check out the A.V. Club's preview for highlights, which include Second City alum Joe Janes' 365 Sketches, New York's Pangea 3000, and Saturday Night Live writer Pat O'Brien's The Reckoning
Tickets can be bought per time slot for $12.50 (Thursday and Sunday time slots are 35 minutes long, Friday and Saturday are 40), or get yourself a complete Festival Pass for $150 through Ticketmaster or call the box office at (773) 327-5252.
I just got off the phone with someone working behind the scenes tonight - the one thing he had to say about Sketchfest? "It's going to be intense."
