I've been lucky enough to watch baseball in many great stadiums around the country- Safeco, Kauffman, Yankee, Shea, Fenway, and of course Wrigley and U.S. Cellular. But my heart will always belong to Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
While it wasn't my first baseball stadium (that would be Baltimore's old Memorial Stadium), it will always be my favorite. Intimate and full of character, it seamlessly feels modern yet classic. I'm proud that it influenced a whole new era of baseball stadiums. It's gained a reputation up and down the east coast as a friendly and affordable way to see a MLB game. Baseball fans from Boston and New York flock to Baltimore for games and I've never heard a bad report from anyone who experienced the "Orioles Magic." Hopefully this summer I'll get back to the place where I spent many weekend afternoons in my childhood, $5 college nights, and happy hours with co-workers.
But enough about that- since it's April Fool's Day- enjoy a video of Buck Showalter playing a prank on pitcher Darren O'Day. And something called a Solowheel. For another great and very, very short Buck Showalter video, go here.
