"The Phantom of the Opera" in Chicago: 5 songs I can't wait to hear

Tonight I'll be seeing The Phantom of the Opera at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago. I was in junior high the last time I saw Phantom and tonight is the first time Fran will ever see it.

When I was in the junior high band, we played some pieces from The Phantom of the Opera and I've loved it ever since. Plus, the female lead character is also named Christine. Coincidence? Well, yes, okay it's a coincidence, but it was still pretty dramatic to my junior high heart.

I used to listen to the The Phantom of the Opera Orignial London Cast Recording over and over again. This cast featured the famous Sarah Brightman (Christine) and Michael Crawford (the Phantom). As someone who can't carry a tune, I would have given anything to be able to sing like Sarah Brightman. (I included their version of the song The Phantom of the Opera below.)

I've heard that the production is even better than before so I'm really looking forward to all aspects of the show. However, who can deny that the music is the real show stopper. It's hard to choose from the 2 1/2 hour production, but here are the top 5 songs I'm looking forward to:

The Phantom of the Opera runs at the Cadillac Palace Theatre until March 2, 2014.
