ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo in photos

It's that time of year again for ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo. This evening, we made our first trip to this annual event and it was more than worth it.

Besides for the brilliant light displays, there is live ice carving, face painting, carousel rides and much more. Stands selling popcorn, hot cocoa, spiced cider and other goodies, are also set up around the zoo.

We found that some of the animal houses were open including the ape house and small mammal/reptile house. Whenever we would get chilly, we could just duck into one of those to see the animals.

Honestly, I didn't even find myself getting too cold because I was busy being mesmerized by the lights. Once the kids started running around, they warmed us just as well.

Overall, I would definitely recommend spending an evening at ZooLights.  It is a stunning holiday experience. You can view Lincoln Park's ZooLights page to learn more about this free event by clicking here.

Without further ado, check out the photo gallery below of this evening's trip!
