Short post today because it's Thanksgiving and I'm sure most of you are either sleeping, eating, watching TV, cooking, hanging out with family or actively hiding from your family.
This morning I ran the North Shore Turkey Trot for the first time and let me tell you, it was brisk. The temperature at start time was 23 degrees, with gray skies and a breeze.
Everyone waiting to start was jumping up and down trying to keep warm. It was pretty funny actually, watching people have normal conversations while simultaneously hopping, running in place and rubbing their hands together.
Just as my legs felt like they were going numb, we were off and running. Crossing the finish line, my first thought was, mashed potatoes! Oh wait, no, that's what I'm thinking now. It was, Gatorade! Immediately followed by, I'm freezing! Must...get...to...car!
Now it's on to coffee, cooking and spending the rest of the day with family.
Today we are thankful for many things, including, you! A big thanks to all of our readers who help keep us going on this crazy, year long adventure. I don't know what I would do without your support!
