Hi, I'm Kelley - professional writer, philanthropist, maverick - welcome to my blog, Neighboring The Neighborless!

I've been volunteering to help those in less fortunate situations for as long as I can remember.  Recently, I began my own organization, The Pink Bag Project.  Our primary focus is to help people who are living on the streets survive their homeless nights while they wait for permanent housing.  Each week, I take two, large pink bags filled with socks, toiletries, hand-warmers and more around the streets of Chicago as I seek out the homeless who feel hopeless and forgotten.  Although the supplies I bring are always received with gratitude, the thing I am by far thanked for most often is for treating the people I meet like human beings who matter instead of pretending they don't exist.

If you have questions, comments or would like to get involved, please contact me at The Pink Bag Project.  I look forward to hearing from you - together, we can make a difference!
