Linda Johnson Rice and Timuel Black and Adam Green will appear in conversation on the Great Migration on May 6 at 6 p.m. at the Harold Washington Library Center 400 S. State Street, in the Cindy Pritzer Audtiorium Theater. The conversation is based on the May book selection, The Warmth of Other Suns; The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration by Isabel Wilkerson.
The Great Migration was a movement that brought 6 million African Americans from the South to the North. This movement changed the lives of Americans as they resettled in the 20th century. This is one of the greatest social economic shifts in American history.
