Is it time for third party negotiators?

The city with big shoulders is not working and the world is watching.   The teacher’s strike continues to at least Wednesday.  The members need to vote. The children need to go back to school.  The parents need to go back to work.

So,  is it time for third party mediators or arbitrators to come in and work with both sides?

Some quite able folk might be:

Frank Clark, Retried President of Commonwealth Edison

Senator Emil Jones, Past President of the Illinois  State Senate

Rev. Jesse Jackson, President of Operation PUSH, Infamous Negotiator

Dr. Byron Brazier, Pastor of Apostolic Church

Fran Spielman, City Hall Reporter, Chicago Sun Times

Pastor James Meeks, Former State Senator, Education Committee

Mayor Richard Daley

Bill Daley, Former Chief of Staff, White House, President Barrack Obama

Mary Dempsey, Former President of Chicago Library

Anita Ponder, Attorney

James Compton, Retired President of Chicago Urban League

Attorney James Montgomery, Former Corporate Council, City of Chicago

Sam Zell, President of Chicago Tribune

Commissioner Bill Beaver, Cook County Board former Alderman
