It's blogapalooza! What does that mean, you ask? Once a month, ChicagoNow bloggers have one hour to create a post and all must publish at the same time. The topic this month is to write about something I used to obsess about but now rarely, if at all, even think about. Here we go......
I just watched the Chicago Cubs just win the 2017 National League Central Division for the second time in a row. I hoped in my lifetime the Cubs would win a World Series and I was fortunate to witness just that last year. I was not sure if it could happen this year with the way their first half went, however, the Cubs finally woke up in the second half to be the team I knew they could be.
As you can tell I still obsess about the Chicago Cubs, however, what I do not obsess about anymore is....is.....hmmm...is??? I do not know. In fact, now I am obsessing about the fact that I do not know what I no longer obsess about anymore. Ugh.
I thought that when I started writing tonight I would easily come up with a list that I would have difficulty narrowing it down to just one thing but I never imagined that I would come up with nada, nothing, zilch, nix, goose egg--oh boy, now I am obsessing with all the synonyms of zero.
Now don't get all sad on me because I cannot come up with one thing I no longer have an obsession with anymore, I am sure if I really thought about it for a few years I can come up with something---maybe. Oh well, my time is up and I have to replay the Cubs last out another 20 times so that I know it is real.
