Each Wednesday morning, several Chicagoans gather on the roof of the Hotel Lincoln to participate in a relaxing one-hour yoga session taught by Equinox yoga instructors. The class begins at seven in the morning, and all individuals need to bring is their own mat. They then spend the next hour in moves called Sun Salutation to Downward dog overlooking from the rooftop, looking out across the lovely Chicago skyline while getting in a rejuvenating morning stretch.

This movement of rooftop events from cocktails to bootcamps, are taking many cities like Chicago by storm.. or rather sunrise and sunset. The Hotel Lincoln's partnership with Equinox benefits everyone: local residents, members and hotel guests. They are a wonderful option for those looking for new ways to exercise over the summer. If you are stressed from work or are looking for a way to get fit for the summer, yoga is the perfect choice. Yoga is a great for the body because it is low impact and also helps to combat stress. It can even help reduce the risk of chronic conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure, depression and anxiety.
