How to rally the troupes to get your best body yet!

These days we all need a "little help from our friends" -- especially when we want to get back in our bikinis, ready for a family wedding or lose ten pounds for the high school reunion.  But research shows that doing it alone may not yield the greatest outcome.  In a weight loss study, only 1/10 people were successful in achieving their weight loss goals by themselves.  That's why it takes a village to raise a child or change the numbers on the scale.

Try these simple RALLY tips to make weight in your next program:

R.  R is for right/reach.  Right now you need to start thinking of five friends or family members whom you trust and love.  Count them out on your right hand and say their names out loud.  They are your rally network leaders.
You need to REACH out to them and let them know your goals.  You need to ask them to send you an email, text or call you at least once a week to check in on your progress - no judgements, no excuses, just support, and a positive message to keep you going.  You will be amazed how happy they are to help.  When I helped a client lose 100 pounds in 90 days his Reach rally did an amazing job at this.  Your friends and family want to see you succeed.

A. A is for ACTION.  You need to communicate your actions and be held accountable.  This can be to your rally network or health coach or personal trainer.  You need to have a plan for action to have the support of your troupes.  Define daily or weekly goals.  In my Naked Nutrition plan, I want people to eat five times a day.  They need to check off each meal to be successful.

L.  L is for LISTEN.  You have to listen to your body and how it feels.  You have to listen your appetite when eating and know that you don't have to eat everything on your plate.  You have to listen to your body about exercise and recognize the changes it is going thru with a simple walking program.  Lastly, listen to your friends advice -- that doesn't mean yo have to follow it -but use their advice for understanding they care about you and you are worth making those changes happen.

L.  LEVERAGE your social media.  That means that you might have a few hundred or thousand friends on Facebook, AnytimeHealth or Fit Studio that can help you stay on track or offer some helpful tips or food substitutions.  Don't be afraid of checking into "Places" and asking your social network "what can I order here to not blow my diet?" or "does anyone know of a gym to stop in at since I'm traveling for work?" The world wide web has millions of users and answers.

Y. Y is for YOU. If you believe you can or cannot, you are right. Henry Ford. Time to start your engines and drive yourself forward to a positive outcome.  Success is ultimately a choice.

Rally your team and go for the win!
