About three years ago, I was first introduced to the Trx Suspension Training system. It looked a little different than any other suspension system I had worked with because it had not resistance tubing. Then I started trying some of the exercises and fell in love with it!
The idea is using your own body weight and it's angles in relationship to gravity. It's all physics. Now, you don't have to be trained in physics to get this... basically, if you're feet are close to the straps, the moves are easier and the more you lean or move away from them the harder it becomes.
A simple idea that was born from Navy Seal Hetrick came up with a simple prototype using straps from a parachute. The straps were protable and lightweight making it an easy on the go gym. He threw straps over tree branches, around poles and door frames.
As they say, it's portable fitness. For me, if you are looking for a tool to add to your home or away workout program, this piece gives you hundreds of exercise options and an under $200 price point.
