....It's About Getting Over My Control Issues and Being Vulnerable: thoughts on writing

When you create art and release it to the world, you open yourself up and your art to interpretation.Perhaps even some criticism. I don't always like that. Maybe that explains why I don't always write. Most times, I have a point (even when I'm writing about seemingly pointless things) and when it's all said and done, I want people to "get it." I want them them to get what I'm giving, or what I think I'm giving. I still want too much. The process doesn't work that way.

Unfortunately, the process will probably never work that way, because you’re right—everything, not just the creation of art, is the “interpretation “ of another individual with different experiences, etc. I like the posts that I’ve already read.

I'm from Chicago, but I swear I live on my own planet. In my world, it makes perfect sense to be a writer/editor/natural hair model/actress/poet/PR consultant/humanitarian/all around really cool chick--24/7!
