You can hardly throw a stick these days without hitting someone making a Christmas album- possibly it’s written into their contracts? Some artists are ambitious and try to come up with some new material, but largely they’re all just singing the same old songs. How can someone possibly distinguish themselves from everyone else competing for the distinction of having THEIR version of “White Christmas” on all the popular playlists? By the album covers, of course!
If you were just released from a lengthy stay in prison and didn’t have access to album covers during the past decade, you might think that an artist would want to adorn their cover of a Christmas album with a wholesome family scene, perhaps even the artist’s own family! But alas, the Christmas album covers have become little more than thinly disguised selfies in many cases. Let’s take a look at some of the worst offenders:
